Information for Contributors

Contributions are welcomed from any nurse involved in any aspect of the teaching /learning process. The journal has a number of separate sections (as outlined below) and submission requirements vary from section to section.

Online Communication

All contributions are to made electronically directly to the journals' e-mail address. All contributors must provide name, current position, qualifications, and a return e-mail address.

Referencing Style

Contributors should adopt the Harvard (author date) method of referencing.

Copyright

Copyright remains with the author. Papers submitted for publication will not have been published elsewhere. Papers or posters presented at conferences are welcomed provided the conference organisers do not have a copyright claim to the material

Refereed Papers

These are contributions that are either reports of relevant research, or analyses of philosophical , educational, or other concepts that impact on the teaching / learning process in a nurse related context . These should be around 1500 - 2500 words in length. Simple tables are welcomed, but other types of presentation cannot be accommodated at this time. An abstract of around 100 words should be provided. Contributors should clearly identify that they wish their paper to be reviewed, or it will be assumed that it is to be a non-refereed paper.

Non-refereed Papers (Free communications)

These are contributions that may be "scholarly" (as above) or may be more a report of a teaching success, an educational innovation, a pilot study, a report onresearch in progress, or a well articulated opinion. These papers should be no greater than 1500 words in length. An abstract is not required.

Student Perspectives

Contributions are invited from undergraduate and post graduate students of nursing. These should be focussed on the learning experience (positive, negative or other) and should centre on processes. These papers should be no greater than 1000 words in length.

Noticeboard

The AEJNE will publish information about conferences, courses, and other matters of relevance to the philosophy of the journal. Such contributions must include full contact details.

Research Classifieds

The AEJNE will publish any requests for research collaboration. A brief statement of the research goals should be included.
