The Australian Journal of Holistic Nursing is a twice yearly international journal combining refereed and occasional papers with news items, discussion and debate. The journal documents the the dynamic and diverse trends emerging in contemporary holistic practice.
The journal includes articles on the practice of natural therapies and holistic nursing both in Australia and overseas, with a blend of theoretical and practice-based issues. While nursing issues are prominent in the journal, contributions are sought from all holistic practitioners spanning a wide range of disciplines.
SPECIAL NOTICE
With sadness, I inform you that the October 2005 edition of the Australian Journal of Holistic Nursing (AJoHN) will be its last.
Therefore, we will be accepting no more articles for publication in AJoHN.
The Journal has been published twice yearly since 1994, and it has been listed in the CINAHL database for most of those 11 years. The decision to cease publication of the Journal has come about after publication team and faculty discussion, and a great deal of personal reflection as AJoHN’s editor. The decision is based on professional, financial, technological and personal reasons.
AJoHN has made very important contributions to nursing and health care research and scholarship, and it has been highly successful as an original publication filling a niche in the Journal market. I have been extremely proud to have been AJoHN’s editor for 11 years.
I take this opportunity to thank all of the publication team since AJoHN’s inception. They are wonderful people. Take a bow: Lyn Ramsey, Christina Game, Christopher Morgan, Joy Taylor, Toni Brine, Caroline McKay and Jenna Joy. Thank you also members of the Editorial Board: Rosalie Van Aken, Mary Jo Bulbrook, Helen Cox, Kierrynn Davis, Heather Gibb, Nel Glass, Jane Abbott-Hall, Stephen Kermode, Pauline McCabe, Margi Martin, Cheryle Moss, Alan Pearson, Barbara Rogers, Colleen Smith and Debbie Smyth.
Complimentary copies of back-dated editions of the Journal are available by contacting Caroline McKay (02 6620 3012).
Sincerely
Professor Bev Taylor
(Editor, AJoHN)
