Visual Arts Interviews
To apply for the Bachelor of Visual Arts or Bachelor of Visual Arts/Bachelor of Education [Secondary] you must lodge an application with the NSW University Admissions Centre (UAC); or the Queensland Tertiary Admissions Centre (QTAC).

To be eligible for selection to the Bachelor of Visual Arts or Bachelor of Visual Arts/Bachelor of Education [Secondary], and in addition to satisfying normal entry requirements of the University, you are asked to have an interview to present a portfolio of work. The interview provides you with the opportunity to question staff about all aspects of the course and to demonstrate evidence of aptitude for and commitment to your proposed area of study.
Please note: Applicants for the Bachelor of Visual Arts/Bachelor of Education [Secondary] will be required to meet the relevant ATAR, OP or equivalent, in addition to the successful review of your portfolio.
Interview Requirements
Candidates will be selected for the program on the basis of:
- commitment
- the quality of the portfolio
- the potential for development
- familiarity with contemporary art practice
- communication skills.
Your e-portfolio should be representative of your artmaking especially over the past two years, and include images of:
- 2D and/or 3D works such as paintings, sculptures, drawings, photographs, prints HSC major works, thematic projects
- journal and sketch book pages
- any other material
Applicants are also asked to provide a curriculum vitae (CV) listing art related activities, general experience, employment history, other courses undertaken.

- Telephone – Thursday, January 5, 2012 as scheduled
- Telephone – Wednesday, January 11, 2012 as scheduled
Telephone Interviews – Applicants will be e-mailed a 2012 Portfolio/Interview Information letter and Visual Arts Admission questionnaire. Applicants are required to submit an e-portfolio of their work, CV and completed Visual Arts Admission Questionnaire prior to this scheduled day.
