The Bachelor of Visual Arts provides a comprehensive grounding in practical and theoretical aspects of contemporary visual arts practice. Students develop their skills working in well-equipped, purpose-built studios for painting, printmaking, three-dimensional studies (including ceramics and bronze casting), drawing, photography and digital arts, under the guidance of staff who are all practicing artists. Our graduates work as professional and community artists, designers, arts administrators, educators, curators and arts writers. When combined with the Bachelor of Education (Secondary) graduates can also teach art at secondary level. Our graduates have featured in some of Australia's most prestigious art awards and their work regularly features in commercial and public galleries nationally and internationally.
