Why study tourism
Flexible study options
You can study by distance education (online or external study), on campus, and make the most of our three study sessions each year to manage your study load or fast-track your degree. Find out more about our flexible study options.
We have a dedicated and engaged student support team ready to help you with your study needs. It's about putting you as close as we can to our tourism, hospitality and events experts.
Experienced lecturing staff
Our experienced lecturing staff combine significant tourism, hospitality and events industry experience with innovative research activity. Students are taught by academics who are actively contributing to global knowledge concerning tourism and hospitality.
Our courses offer a 20-week volunteer or paid workplace internship with successful tourism organisations to make sure you graduate one step ahead.
For undergraduate students wanting to broaden their horizons, we offer an international exchange program, giving you the opportunity to study with one of our partner institutions overseas as you work towards your degree.
Where to study
If you study with us on campus you could be living at of one Australia's most popular tourism destinations: Sydney, the Gold Coast, or Lismore and Coffs Harbour in the idyllic Northern Rivers of New South Wales.
You can also study abroad with one of our collaborating institutions.
The School enjoys long-standing professional relationships with the tourism and hospitality industries at local, regional, state and national levels and has developed a strong international culture.
