PhD in Natural Product Chemistry (Shanghai university of T.C.M.)

Research interests / background

Qingyao Shou's research areas include bioassay-guided fractionation, structure elucidation and bioactivity of novel compounds as well as structural optimization of active natural compounds. During the period of his study and work, he has been involved in a variety of research projects of natural product chemistry. A large number of compounds have been separated and identified, including over 30 new compounds, many of the compounds showed interesting activities and some with potential value for drug development.

His current research in SCPS is mainly focused on phytochemistry of Australian native medicinal plants and investigating the wound-healing properties of natural products for the Wounds Management Innovation CRC.
