  • Should I attend if I am interested in studying a Postgraduate course?
    • No. The SCU Info Days are about our undergraduate courses. If you would like to find out more about our postgraduate study options, visit scu.edu.au/studyin2013. You may also like to consider booking a personalised campus tour at a time that suits you - you will be shown the campus of your choice and get to speak with staff about the course or courses you are interested in. To book your tour, please call us toll free on 1800 626 481.
    • What should I bring with me on the day?
      • The NSW North Coast and Southern Queensland can present very hot or wet weather during December. For your comfort on the day and when moving between venues on campus, we suggest you may like to bring drinking water, a hat, sunscreen, and your umbrella depending on the weather forecast.
      • Where do I park?
        • Lismore - free parking is available in the student parking areas marked on the campus maps.

        Coffs Harbour - free parking is available in the student parking areas marked on the campus maps.

        Gold Coast - free parking is available in the carpark on campus.
        • Can I attend more than one event?
          • Yes, you can attend our events at one or more campuses.
          • How flexible is the program if I can't attend all the day?
            • The program at each campus provides some flexibility for you to participate according to the time you have available to spend with us. However, we do encourage you to arrive at the designated start time, allowing time to park and make your way to the Welcome venue. After this session, you will be ushered to the Course Information Sessions of your choice.
            • Will I be told if I have been made an offer to my course on the day?
              • No. Your invitation to this event does not constitute an offer to a course. It is an invitation for you to get to know us.
              • I've already accepted my offer, is this my Orientation session?
                • No, Orientation is held the week prior to the start of the session and is packed full of activities and information. Orientation is a good time to get your ID card and find out about text books and course requirements.
                • Does SCU operate on Daylight Saving time?
                  • Our Gold Coast campus operates on Queensland time all year round, which is Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST). During Daylight Savings months, SCU Lismore and Coffs Harbour campuses operate on NSW daylight saving time (AEDT), which is one hour ahead of AEST.

                  • Will the refreshment cater for specific dietary needs?
                    • Unfortunately we are unable to cater for all dietary needs, so you may wish to bring along your preferred snack.
                    • How long does the campus tour take?
                      • Depending on the campus and the size of the group, usually around 30 - 40 minutes.
                      • How long does the accommodation tour take?
                        • Approximately 30 minutes. The accommodation tours will be held directly after the campus tours for guests who are interested.
                        • Do I need to register to attend an event?
                          • There is no need to register if you are attending an event on campus. You only need to register if you wish to participate in the Virtual Info Session. If you have trouble submitting your form online, please call our toll free number 1800 626 481 and one of our staff can submit the form for you while you are on the phone.
                          • I can't attend but I want some course information?
                            • Please call our toll free number 1800 626 481, or email enquiry@scu.edu.au. Also consider registering to attend our Virtual Info Session.
                            • What computer requirements do I need to attend one of the Virtual Info Sessions?
                              • You simply need a connection to the internet, preferably broadband or wireless and a relatively up to date operating system, along with an internet browser like Mozilla Firefox, Internet Explorer or Google Chrome.
                              • What do I need to do to join one of the Virtual Info Sessions?
                                • You will need to register online via the Virtual Info Session registration form, which will be available later in the year from this website.

                                Once the dates are confirmed, we will send you an email with details of where and how to access the Sessions.

                                Prior to these dates we will send you an email with details of where and how to access a Session.

                                Around 5-10 minutes prior to the session, simply open the URL that we have sent to your email address. This will give you time to sign in and download Java (if you don't already have it) which your computer will do automatically. Then sit back and enjoy.

                                • What happens if I miss a Virtual Info Session?
                                  • Anyone who misses the session will be sent a recording of the session via an email link that you can watch at your convenience.
