Saturday May 12thSCU Race Day is an annual University-wide event held at the Lismore Turf Club and coordinated by UniLife. This is a chance for SCU students and staff to get together and enjoy a day of racing, entertainment and events such as Fashions on the Field and Tug O‘ War. Please note: To purchase a SCU Race Day ticket, you must be over 18, have proof of age, have a SCU Student/Staff ID card. Ticket holders who are intoxicated will be refused entry to the Lismore Turf Club. No BYO alcohol on buses and into the Lismore Turf Club Fashion Parade. For the second year, Candylane Boutique Alstonville will coordinate the SCU Race Day Fashion Parade featuring our own SCU students as models. Race wear will be featured from the following boutiques and designers: Candylane Boutiques, Jean House & George Gooleys Menswear and Hundt Millinery.
Fashions on the Field- To enter, just pop along to the Fashions on the Fields registration tent near the winners circle

Tug O‘ War- To enter a team in the Tug O‘ War you need to get a team of 10 and come up with a team name
- Watch out for roving race day volunteers who will be collecting team names and marshalling you on to the track

Yes, they pay on the day at the gate — they are not eligible for the SCU Student Package, but can still attend and enjoy the event.
Do you have to be over 18 to attend this event? Yes, to purchase an SCU Race Day ticket you have to be over 18 and have proof of age when purchasing the ticket and on the day when entering the Lismore Turf Club as well as an SCU Student ID.
Are there buses to get back to campus and colleges? Yes, the free SCU shuttle buses, provided by the university, depart the Lismore Turf Club after the last race and will be announced over the PA and return to Lismore campus and colleges.
Is there a free transport from the GC and Coffs Harbour campuses to the SCU Race Day? Yes, the university provides free buses from the GC and Coffs Harbour campuses and return to the GC and Coffs Harbour campuses. See ticket outlets at your campus for times and departure points.
