Welcome to my website. I am just a beginner at html and haven't invested in fancy wysiwyg software, so this site is pretty simple at this stage. The site has 3 purposes:

I guess that fancy layout is not really necessary to achieve these aims, but it looks like fun, so I'll work on it gradually.

Research Interests & Publications

Current Research
The subject of my research for my post-graduate thesis is the effects of nutrient pollution on corals. Specifically, I am looking at the changes that occur in coral tissues and skeletons when exposed to elevated ammonium and phosphate. My work is part of the
ENCOREexperiment, which was conducted at One Tree Island and funded by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority.

I am also interested in the meiofauna of subtropical marine and estuarine sediments. Until the Ph.D. is out of the way (March 2000), I am unable to pursue this interest with much vigour myself, but I have supervised student projects in this field.

Another interest is the diversity of terrestrial invertebrates in natural and disturbed habitats. I have supervised several students in topics of this kind.
