Gui is a passionate instructor and researcher whose areas of expertise include tourism and transport management; transport geography and tourism destinations. Gui has over 60 academic publications in English, Portuguese and more recently one of his books was also translated into Spanish. Gui has done work for the Brazilian Ministry of Tourism, the World Tourism Organisation (WTO), the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) and Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (UAE). While originally from Brazil, Gui has also undertaken consulting, researched and taught in countries such as Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, USA and United Arab Emirates.
