Ed Burton's research examines iron-sulfur (bio)geochemistry and contaminant dynamics in redox-dynamic soils, sediments and shallow aquifers. He employ field-based studies in a variety of settings, in addition to controlled experimentation to explore the reaction kinetics and transformation pathways of important (bio)geochemical processes. Since completing his PhD in 2005, he has authored almost 50 peer-reviewed journal papers and has attracted over $2.3 million in research grants. His publications have made a strong impact in the environmental (bio)geochemistry field, with >340 citations. Ed Burton currently serves as an Associate Editor of the Australian Journal of Soil Research. |
