SCU Equity Scholarship

Value and Duration: one off payment of $1500.

Indigenous Commonwealth Scholarships

All Indigenous students are encouraged to apply but students can only receive Commonwealth Scholarships OR Centrelink Scholarships not both. Contact the Scholarships Office for further information.

Eligibility and Priority of Offer

Students who receive Parenting Payment, Disability Payment and Carer Payment are encouraged to apply. Scholarships are assessed based on degree of disadvantage and will be prioritised for offer in this way.

Indigenous students receiving Abstudy can apply but will be unable to receive both Commonwealth Scholarships and Centrelink based scholarships, they must accept one or the other.

Non-indigenous students who are eligible for ongoing Start-Up and Relocation Scholarship payments via Centrelink (see below) will not be eligible for Equity Scholarships. These are students who receive or expect to receive Austudy or Youth Allowance.
