2. This scholarship will be offered to a student who is a current resident of Bellingen Shire at the time of application although preference will be given to recent school leavers (from 2011, 2010, 2009 and 2008). Year 12 students from Bellingen and Dorrigo High Schools are encouraged to apply.
3. Demonstrated commitment to career development in the art or music fields.
4. Demonstrated talent in chosen art form, as evidenced by the submission of a portfolio, CD or DVD recording or similar.
5. Student’s contribution to local community may also be considered.

1. a current Year 12 student of St John’s Woodlawn College enrolling to study a Bachelor of Contemporary Music at Southern Cross University; or
2. a former student of St John’s Woodlawn College enrolling or already enrolled to study a Bachelor of Contemporary Music.
2. Applicants must be accepted into the Bachelor of Contemporary Music Degree at Southern Cross University’s Lismore campus in order to be eligible for this scholarship.
3. Applicants must show evidence of strong academic performance.
4. Applicants should demonstrate evidence of personal maturity and social responsibility through contributions to the community and by the comments of the school /college..
5. The selection committee may also consider the students commitment their musical studies as a part of the selection process.
6. Generally applicants will be required to study full-time and on campus.
7. Shortlisted applicants may also be required to attend an interview.

5. Provision of up to 3 referee reports or personal references and supporting documentation.

Eligible schools include Palm Beach-Currumbin State HS, Elanora State HS, St Andrews Lutheran College, Hillcrest Christian College, King’s Christian College, Marymount College, Somerset College, Varsity College, Robina State HS, Miami State HS, All Saints Anglican School, St Michael’s College, Merrimac State HS.

1. Academic achievement: an expected ATAR 70+ as a guide for eligibility or offer of entry as a mature age student.
2. Applicants must be an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in accordance with the Commonwealth definition which requires that the applicant:
   • be of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent; and
   • identify as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander; and
   • be accepted as an Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander in the community in which he/she lives or has lived
3. Preference will be give to applicants who have demonstrated an interest in working in the middle years of education, i.e. Years 5 to 9.
4. The selection panel will also consider applicants’ contribution to school and/or community as demonstrated

Applicants of the SCU Bowen Scholarship must be Australian citizens or permanent residents and be resident in the SCU Feeder Region. Selection is based on:

1. Demonstrated academic achievement or offer of entry as a mature age student.
2. Ability to meet predetermined criteria for financial disadvantage.
3. Ability to demonstrate other disadvantage or hardship.
4. Ability to demonstrate commitment to the region through their contribution to their school and/ or broader community, supported by the comments of their school or nominee. The selection panel will also consider applicants’ contribution to school and/or community as demonstrated.

Applicants of Friends of the Northern Rivers Community Gallery Scholarship must be Australian Citizens or Permanent Residents, studying full time and on campus and selection is based on:

1. Academic/artistic achievement based on offer of entry into the Bachelor of Visual Arts degree.
2. Applicants must be a current resident of the Northern Rivers Region, with a current residential address in the Ballina, Lismore, Richmond Valley or Byron Local Government Areas.
3. Applicants may be high school graduates or mature age students. For high school graduates, an ATAR of 70–75+ provides a guideline for eligibility.
4. Preference will be given to a student that demonstrates a commitment to career development as a visual artist at a community or gallery level or as a writer, teacher or tutor in that field.
5. Demonstrated talent in chosen art form as evidenced in the submission of a portfolio for entry into the Bachelor degree.
6. Demonstrated involvement in the artistic community at a regional level.
7. Shortlisted applicants may be asked to submit additional information or attend an interview.

Applicants for the Innis Foundation Scholarship must be aged 25 years or under as at January 1^st in the year of admission to their course and selection will be based on one or more of the following criteria:

1. Acceptance for enrolment in the Diploma in Sport Management (Surfing Studies).
2. Personal maturity and social responsibility, as evidenced by contributions to school/college and community life, and by the comments of the School/College Principal or nominee.
3. Demonstrated financial need as provided in their responses to questions on the application form and supporting documentary evidence provided.
4. Applicants must satisfactorily demonstrate their commitment to completing the Diploma course within the one year of the scholarship by their answers to the questions on the application form.

Applicants for the Mayor of Lismore Scholarship for Outstanding Academic Achievement (1 Year) must be Australian citizens or permanent residents commencing study in any Bachelor degree at SCU's Lismore Campus and selection based on:

1. Academic achievement with an ATAR of 80–85+ as a guide or other evidence of outstanding performance as a mature age student.
2. Applicants must reside in the Lismore Local Government Area.
3. Applicants who have achieved success under conditions of disadvantage or hardship will be considered favourably.

Applicants for the Pisan Saran Scholarship must be Australian citizens or permanent residents in the Coffs Harbour Local Government Area. Selection is based on:

1. Demonstrated financial disadvantage as evidenced by supporting documentation.
2. Demonstrated commitment to career development and high level of community involvement.
3. Academic achievement: ATAR 70–75+ (or interstate equivalent), or offer of entry as a mature aged student with demonstrated academic achievement.
4. Enrolment full time in any undergraduate degree at Coffs Harbour Campus.
5. Students cannot defer their first year of study .

Summerland Credit Union Scholarship selection is based on:

1. Academic achievement: ATAR of 80+ (or interstate equivalent), should be used as a guide for eligibility.
2. Personal maturity and social responsibility, as evidenced by contributions to school/college and community life, and by the comments of the school/college Principal or nominee.
3. Any evidence of outstanding performance under conditions of hardship.
4. Enrolment full time and on campus in a Bachelor degree program at Southern Cross University’s Lismore campus.
5. Applicants must be a resident within the boundaries of Currumbin (north), Coffs Harbour (south), and Woodenbong/Bonalbo (west).

Far North Coast Law Society Scholasrhip selection is based on:

1. Academic achievement:ATAR of 85+ (or interstate equivalent) General outstanding academic and/or leadership achievement.
2. Applicants must be a resident of the Northern Rivers regions, living in the Tweed, Byron, Ballina, Lismore, Richmond Valley, Clarence Valley or Kyogle Local Government areas.
3. Applicants must be enrolling to study a four-year Bachelor of Laws degree full time at the Southern Cross University Lismore Campus.
4. Preference will be given to students that meet the above criteria and show evidence of outstanding achievement under conditions of economic or social disadvantage.
