The Division of Teaching and Learning has a number of strategies available to support sessional staff:

Booklet Getting Started in Teaching@SCU

All sessional staff receive a copy of Getting Started in Teaching@SCU, a booklet which provides information about the University and the teaching and learning context. This booklet is distributed at the beginning of Session 1 through schools.

Workshop Introduction to Teaching@SCU

New sessional staff can also attend a one day Introduction to Teaching@SCU, a face-to-face workshop held at Coffs Harbour, Gold Coast and Lismore campuses. View and register for the next available workshop. A Certificate of Completion is provided to staff who meet the minimum requirements of attendance at a one-day workshop plus completion of any three online modules.
