Policies, rules and governance

Academic policy and rules are responsibility of Academic Board.

Policies

Policy relevant to teaching and learning is located within the Academic Policy which includes parts on:

  • Learning
  • Courses and Units
  • Student Retention and Standing
  • Student Values and Rights
  • Success
  • Research and Research Training

Rules

Rules associated with teaching and learning are included in Rules relating to awards.

These are located within the Student Handbook.

Governance

Academic Board is the principal academic decision-making body of the University. Its role is to advise the University Council and the Vice Chancellor on all matters related to the academic functioning of the University.

The Learning and Teaching Advisory Committee (LTAC) is the principal advisory committee of Academic Board on issues of Learning and Teaching.
