Visiting Artists

Each year musicians from a variety of genres and backgrounds are invited to be a visiting artist as part of the Women in Contemporary Music Program. This project is essential for addressing issues faced in access, retention and success of women students in the non-traditional areas.

The artists structure their visit by first giving a lecture and elaborating it with a workshop ending with an open forum. Students are offered 15 minutes individual tutorials with the artist. These artists often include performances as a basis for their lectures.
