Our sport and fitness centres provide a range of sporting facilities across three campuses, including an aquatic centre, 2 gyms, 2 indoor sports courts, and 2 sports fields and 4 tennis courts.

We also offer a world-class sports program in the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science

SCU Fitness for You (Lismore campus)

Located on the Lismore campus, SCU Fitness for You has a 33m indoor swimming pool, gym equipment, spin room plus offer a wide variety of group fitness classes and personal training.

Sports and Fitness Centre (Coffs Harbour Campus)

The Sports Centre provides students and staff access to a campus gym with cardio and weights training equipment in an air-conditioned environment, as well as a multi-use indoor court.

Base Gym — Coolangatta

Base Gym offers a Southern Cross University student discount membership from as little as $12.95 per week (or $50 per month paid in advance). With a great mix of personal trainers Base offers a variety of group exercise classes with state-of-the-art strength and cardiovascular equipment in first class surroundings. This service is supported by the Students Services and Amenities Fee.

Virtual Fitness Room – Gold Coast Campus

Work on your fitness with a variety Virtual Les Mills classes to suit everybody, conveniently located on the Gold Coast Campus. Les Mills Virtual is technology based group exercise played via a projector screen. It's designed to provide staff and students with a group exercise fix at any time of the day as well as helping members of the University to be more engaged in group exercise and to become fitter.

Classes are free, so register today by following these easy steps:

  1. Complete the online Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ) form.
  2. Once you have completed step 1, allow us two business days for clearance and access to the room, we will send you an email when this is complete.
  3. Enjoy your virtual fitness workouts!
