Our sport and fitness centres provide a range of sporting facilities across three campuses, including an aquatic centre, 2 gyms, 2 indoor sports courts, and 2 sports fields and 4 tennis courts.

We also offer a world-class sports program in the Bachelor of Sport and Exercise Science

SCU Fitness for You (Lismore campus)

Located on the Lismore campus, SCU Fitness for You has a 33m indoor swimming pool, gym equipment, spin room plus offer a wide variety of group fitness classes and personal training.

SCU Sports Centre (Coffs Harbour Campus)

The Sports Centre provides students and staff access to a campus gym with cardio and weights training equipment in an air-conditioned environment, as well as a multi-use indoor court.

Base Gym — Coolangatta

Base Gym offers a Southern Cross University student discount membership from as little as $9.95 per week. With a great mix of personal trainers Base offers a variety of group exercise classes  with state-of-the-art strength and cardiovascular equipment in first class surroundings. This service is supported by the Students Services and Amenities Fee.

Virtual Fitness Room – Gold Coast Campus

Work on your fitness with a variety Virtual Les Mills classes to suit everybody, conveniently located on the Gold Coast Campus. Les Mills Virtual is technology based group exercise played via a projector screen. It's designed to provide students with a group exercise fix at any time of the day as well as helping students to become engaged in group exercise and to become fitter.

Launch date is Monday 23 April 2018 and classes are free for a limited time. Register for a class by following these easy steps:

  1. Complete your Virtual Fitness Room Registration form
  2. Fill out a Physical Activity Readiness Questionnaire (PARQ) and return it to gym@scu.edu.au with the subject ‘Virtual Fitness Room’.
  3. Make sure you have a copy of your Eventbrite registration on your phone when you come to the class on the day.
