National cultural competitions
Calling for entries from currently enrolled SCU students in UniSounds, UniSights and UniVerse 2020. It is a chance to showcase your talents nationally and represent our university!
As a member of Tertiary Access Group, (TAG), who coordinate these national cultural programs for tertiary students, Southern Cross University thus opens up this opportunity to all SCU currently enrolled students.
UniSounds is a national tertiary music competition open to currently enrolled students at Southern Cross University.
Entries are open to a band, soloist, duo, electronic music producer (not DJ — who is a performer who mixes another person’s music). For acts entering, you need to ensure that there is at least one currently enrolled student in the act.
For all the information and how to enter visit the Unisounds website.
UniSights is a national campus photo and video competition and is open to all currently enrolled students at Southern Cross University. This year’s theme will be announced shortly. Entries are online. More information will be available shortly.
Entries are online at the UniSights website.
In 2019 was the launch of the brand new, National Campus Writing Competition, UniVerse. In its first iteration, the competition is one category only, “NON-FICTION” and we invite current students from eligible campuses to submit.
The competition is designed to offer tertiary students a platform to have their work seen by a panel of industry professionals and to have the opportunity to win industry-relevant prizes and experiences.
