UniMentor training

SCU UniMentor ProgramBefore commencing as a UniMentor, students are provided with professional development training to become familiar with the role and responsibilities.

Training is conducted either on-campus or on-line. UniMentors are guided and supported at all times by UniMentor Coordinators and a structured program. Training workshops are of 2 hours duration.

If you are becoming a UniMentor, please choose one of the following training sessions.

Coffs Harbour

Gold Coast

Mode: Face-to-face group training

Venue: Building C, Level 4 Computer Lab, Room C4.19

  • Tuesday 12 June, 1:00pm to 3:00pm
  • Friday 22 June, 1:00pm to 3:00pm
  • Monday 25 June, 10:30am to 12:30pm

Mode: Face-to-face group training

Venue: Manning Clark Room, Lismore campus Library 

  • Monday 25 June, 2:00pm to 4:00pm

  • Tuesday 3 July, 2:00pm to 4:00pm

On-Line Live

On-Line Self-Directed

Mode: MySCU UniMentor Workgroup. 

If you're unable to attend a campus-based or on-line live session, you can complete your UniMentor training requirements by;

1. watching the UniMentor Pre-Recorded Training Module, and

2. reading the UniMentor Handbook (available in the MySCU UniMentor Workgroup).

If you do on-line self-directed training, please advise us when you have completed steps 1. and 2. above, by emailing your name and student number to mentor@scu.edu.au.
