By entering the Fusion Festival Photography Exhibition conducted by Southern Cross University Lismore NSW 2480 ABN: 41 995 651 524 | CRICOS Provider: 01241G, you agree to the following terms and conditions: 

Exhbition Terms and Conditions

1. Who can enter

1.1 Entry is free and open to students and staff of Southern Cross University.

1.2 If under 18 years of age, entrants must have their parent's or legal guardian's consent to submit an entry.


2. How to enter

2.1 Submissions for the exhibition opens on Monday, 20th July 2020 and closes at midnight on Monday, 24 August 2020. Entrants must make their submission using the Fusion Festival Photography Exhibition online form.

2.2 By completing the Fusion Festival Photography Exhibition online form the entrant certifies that an individual who may appear in any submitted photograph(s) has given the entrant their permission to take the photograph and to submit the photograph, knowing that the photograph may be published by the University including on the World Wide Web. Further, in submitting photograph(s), the entrant agrees to indemnify Southern Cross University should this not be the case.

3. The Exhibition

3.1 Participation in the Fusion Festival Photography Exhibition is deemed acceptance of these Terms and Conditions.

3.2 All entries must be original to and created solely by the person entering the exhibition. The submission must not contain any material that infringes the rights of anyone else.

3.3 All entries must encompass the Fusion Festival Photgraphy Exhibition theme: "connections" 

3.4 Entries may include the combination of an image and a statement to reflect the exhibition’s theme. 

3.5 Entry submissions must be in .jpg format (no more than 1-2MB in size).

3.6 Entries are restricted to one (1) submission per form. 

3.7 A selection of entries may be displayed in the University’s print publications, public displays, social media sites and on the World Wide Web.

4. Limitation of liability

4.1 Southern Cross University reserves the right in its sole discretion to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the exhibition subject to any written directions under applicable legislation in the event this Exhibition is not able to be conducted as planned, due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the University which corrupts or affects the administration, security, fairness, integrity or proper conduct of this exhibition.

4.2 Southern Cross University accepts no responsibility and shall not be held legally liable or responsible for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any individual or property whether direct or indirect, whether in contract, tort or negligence or otherwise arising out of or in connection with the exhibition either during or after the exhibition.

5. Privacy

5.1 Personal information provided by an entrant to Southern Cross University for the purpose of entering the exhibition will be collected, used and disclosed in accordance with the University's Privacy Management Plan. A copy of the Privacy Management Plan is available at scu.edu.au/privacy. Personal information collected will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold, reused, rented, loaned or otherwise disclosed to a third party otherwise than in accordance with the Privacy Management Plan and these terms and conditions.

6. Use of entries by Southern Cross University

6.1 Each entrant retains copyright of their submission(s) but grants Southern Cross University the right to reproduce, publish, transmit or otherwise communicate to the public their entry, in whole or in part, in or using any media for any purpose without permission or payment. This may include in the University’s print publications, public displays, social media sites and on the World Wide Web. 

6.2 Each entrant represents and agrees that all elements contained in the exhibition entry or other material are original to the entrant/s and available for use as contemplated by this clause; does and will not, in any way, violate or breach any of the terms of any other agreement the entrant may be a party to; does not contain defamatory, tortious, or otherwise unlawful, untrue or inaccurate information, infringe or violate any copyright or other right, or contain any matter the publication or sale of which will violate any federal or state legislation or regulation.
