2021 Bachelor of Art and Design Graduate Exhibition
We hold this event every year on the traditional land of the Widjabal People on Bundjalung country, with the acknowledgment and commitment to the First Nations Peoples of this land. We would like to acknowledge the Widjabal people as the original owners of the land where we create, work and live. We pay our respects to their Elders, past, present and emerging, and recognise that sovereignty was never ceded.
This year marks the 27th anniversary of SCU and Art and Design teaching at this university. The university has fostered and grown the potential for art and design over that time on the Lismore campus. The art that is taught and created here has reflected the concerns, styles and politics of its time. This year is no exception and we congratulate SCU’s Bachelor of Art and Design graduates for 2021. Despite continuing lockdowns, these graduating artists have shown resilience through collaboration and dedication to developing their creative voices.
In this exhibition distinctly local concerns are balanced with a vitality of aesthetic investigations, pertinent to contemporary national and international conversations in visual culture.
Morning sessions from 10:00am and afternoon sessions from 1:00pm AEDT.
