These events are free to attend.

Java is the most widely used programming language in the world. It is used to program a diverse variety of products big and small, ranging from the operating system and applications on Android devices all the way up to large enterprise systems like Amazon, Google and eBay. In this workshop, you will be introduced to the Java programming language using the Greenfoot integrated development environment. Greenfoot is a visual and interactive environment and allows for the easy development of two-dimensional graphical applications, such as simulations and interactive games. Designed for educational purposes, Greenfoot provides a fun, easy way for beginners to learn to program in Java!

If students are connecting online, they should install Greenfoot (greenfoot.org) before the workshop.
