Responsible Investing Executive Masterclass
Given the uncertainty about travel plans as we all work on containing coronavirus, we have decided to postpone the Responsible Investing Executive Masterclass.
We are aware that many companies are putting travel bans in place, and so to ensure that we keep everyone safe, we will move the workshop to a time later in the year.
We will advise you of the new dates when concerns over the virus have eased.
This 2.5 day masterclass style, interactive workshop will introduce you to the concept of responsible investing (including its component parts such as ethical screens, ESG overlays, impact investing, constructive engagement and shareholder activism) and then quickly develop an understanding of its history, methodology, portfolio construction, philosophical foundations and future challenges - and help you decide how you want to position yourself in the responsible investing frame.
Investors are becoming increasingly concerned about how and where they invest their capital. The recent Royal Commission into Misconduct in the Banking, Superannuation
and Financial Services Industry has brought a sharp focus to the poor practices of financial institutions, with falling share prices being reflective of growing investor concerns. It is clear that a sole investment focus on prioritising financial performance, producing short-term returns, and pursuing ‘business-as-usual’ behaviour at the expense of stakeholders (i.e. people and the planet) is no longer acceptable business practice.
