RISE 2018: The Nature of Science
The School of Environment, Science and Engineering hosts RISE, the postgraduate research conference annually.
The Conference aims to provide a supportive and fun platform for postgrads from environmental, engineering, marine and plant science fields to pitch their research, network and develop effective communication skills while engaging with university academics and the local community.
This year the theme is ‘The Nature of Science’ which embodies science as a reflexive and creative journey of learning and discovery. It encourages the exploration of the theoretical, empirical, cultural and tentative nature of generating scientific knowledge.
There will be two exciting workshops with hands on and practical outcomes for successful grant writing and ‘getting the balance right’ as part of this year’s RISE conference.
