Stories to Freedom exhibition

Stories to Freedom is an exhibition that gives an insight into the past, present and future lives of refugee and migrant women living and working in our community.

Featuring a short film, portrait series and a collaborative art piece, this exhibition powerfully captures the beauty of multiculturalism and the richness and experiences of the 3Es (Education, Employment and Empowerment) to Freedom program.

The impact of this program, working with refugee and migrant women, has been documented in film, photography, textiles and creative arts. The exhibition will be shown across three sites including Gold Coast, Lismore and Coffs Harbour.

"Research and reflection underpins the 3Es to Freedom program. Southern Cross University has partnered with Anglicare North Coast, 3Es to Freedom, to identify key learnings and best practice with working with refugee and migrant women. It's a powerful program that is having a signficant impact in our communities," said Dr Mandy Hughes, Lecturer in Sociology, Southern Cross University.
