Keynote speaker: Liz Wilkes

As Queensland’s first Chief Midwife Officer, Liz Wilkes provides midwifery leadership and supports Queensland Health to lead maternity reforms and strengthen midwifery and maternity services across the state; building upon the skilled midwifery workforce maintaining a sustainable midwifery pipeline.

She believes in working closely with stakeholders to find innovative solutions to improve access to birthing services, especially in regional, rural, and remote areas, to ensure Queensland women and their babies receive the highest quality, safe, culturally appropriate, woman-centred care.

Keynote speaker: Dr Sally Pairman

Dr Sally Pairman is the outgoing Chief Executive of the International Confederation of Midwives (ICM), with more than 40 years of work in midwifery practice, education, and regulation in her home country of New Zealand. Previous roles include Professor of Midwifery, Director of Learning and Teaching, and Head of Midwifery at Otago Polytechnic.

Sally maintains her commitment to promoting midwifery as a strong, autonomous profession and to maintaining choices for women in childbirth services as evidenced through her political and professional activities and through her research and publications. Her services to midwifery were recognised in 2008 when she was made a member of the New Zealand Order of Merit.

Conference registration costs

Full Registration:

  • $600 per registrant (2 days) for clinicians/academics
  • $300 per registrant (2 days) for students/ women

 

Full Registration (Early Bird 30 June 2025):

  • $550 per registrant (2 days) for clinicians/academics
  • $250 per registrant (2 days) for students/ women

Note: Tickets include attendance at Cocktail Evening

Single Day Registration:

  • $315 single day for clinicians/academics
  • $165 single day for students/women
