Thankyou for supporting our students

Over the years we have received the generous support of community organisations, individuals, industry and government bodies who each have gifted towards scholarships, prizes, bequests or donated funds via our Giving Funds.

Such generous gifts of support are changing the lives of students and future generations that benefit everyone.

Southern Cross University Scholarships

I'd like to change the world but it's increasing in environmental awareness.

I really want to work with students with disabilities. I'd like to make the world a more sustainable place.

I really believe passionately in helping others, equal opportunities and just doing work that I'm passionate about.

I'd like to use my degree to change the world so that all children have a quality education particularly indigenous students is really important to address the discrimination that they have faced over thousands of years as I am Aboriginal this is also a big issue for me.

I actually get a lot out of the contribution for the scholarship and it's really about trying to help people who really appreciate it and can use it.

I think it's important that businesses make a contribution back to the community in which they work and I think it's also important that those scholarships give an opportunity to students who otherwise would not be able to pursue tertiary studies.

Naomi Cook
Coffs Harbour City Council
We had an exceptional female candidate come through and we're very excited to be able to offer her that scholarship for us she is a shining example of what can be achieved by young women if they put their mind to it in a field that is traditionally dominated by males.

David Phillips
Twin Towns Services Community Foundation
I think there are a lot of gaps in our society a lot of people fall through the gaps and as a group of guys who have had opportunities and achieved certain goals in life from our perspective it's giving a little bit back to the communities from which we come from.

So the scholarship will support me financially to pay for the expenses of university it's really helped me buy a laptop which I can now use to actually do my online work.

It really encourages you to keep going to know that you that you are good enough and that you will like succeed at university it's someone on the outside who's you know looking in they've seen a bit of your story seen a bit of what you're about and do they truly believe that you will succeed.

I was shocked and overwhelmed and I didn't know what to feel I was so grateful I couldn't believe that I had received a massive scholarship. It felt pretty incredible you know big weight off the shoulders.

Completely shocked I'm over the moon about having having the scholarship being the recipient of the scholarship.

It just makes me feel very proud and happy when they achieve their goals against all odds.

We help them in so many ways, we try to.

I think we succeed.

In particular, we thank the following donor scholarship supporters for their continued generosity and commitment in supporting our students.  With the support of donors like you, we are able to offer transformational opportunities for students to learn, acquire new skills and take another step closer to their dreams and aspirations.

We would also like to extend our gratitude to the many University Medal and Academic Prize donors who both reward and inspire our students to be the best they can be.
