Amara is a Registered Psychologist who has been working in the Northern Rivers for over ten years in private practice. Prior to that she worked as a Counsellor for The Buttery and at Perth Women’s Centre. She offers an experienced, competent and professional approach for growth and healing. Amara works with individual adults who want make positive changes and find ways to cope better and feel better.

Amara listens and brings presence, warmth and compassion to her work with you. She draws on a number of different therapeutic approaches and chooses the best approach for your needs. She may use cognitive behavioural therapy and mindfulness approaches. She also uses neuroscience informed therapies that help your nervous system to come back into balance again.

Amara is an approved Counsellor with Victims of Crime NSW. She is a specialist Trauma Counsellor and can assist people dealing with the affects of sexual assault or domestic violence as a child or adult in NSW.

Cancellation Fee

The practitioner has a long waiting list for our appointments each day.

If you cannot attend YOUR appointment, you MUST let us know more than 2 hours prior to the time.
We can then offer your time to another patient.

Failure to do so will incur a $20 No Show fee, which must be paid prior to making another appointment.
