Workshop: Introduction to Design Thinking – Positive Impact for Youth

Learn effective Design Thinking skills while contributing to real challenges in the region - come along to our Design Thinking workshop where you will learn the skills to collaborate effectively, learn efficiently, and make a tangible difference.

What is Design Thinking? Design thinking is a human centred approach that solves problems creatively, using a range of tools and strategies that challenge assumptions.

Discover the mindsets, tools, processes and principles that generate innovation and then apply Design Thinking methods to complex challenges in ways that invites creativity, collaboration and desired outcomes. This is your chance to participate in a 'Curiosity Cafe’ event hosted by the Southern Cross Enterprise Lab and facilitated by Strategic Designer, Susanna Carman.

Join a community of leaders who are committed to solving the most vexing issues facing youth in our region and explore the question:

How might we introduce Design Thinking mindsets, tools and practices to leaders working on youth related issues in order to amplify their impact?

In this workshop, you will:

  • Glean key insights on how to address complex problems you may be facing on your project
  • Provide valuable feedback to others working on issues you care deeply about
  • Learn Design Thinking practices that can be directly applied to initiatives within your own sphere of influence

Exclusive opportunity to be involved in the workshop: Throughout the workshop, participants will apply their newfound Design Thinking skills to a range of real-world challenges – for maximum impact, these challenges will come from fellow workshop participants.

Do you have a youth-based project or challenge that needs some attention and a new perspective?
