The Forest Research Centre undertakes its research in collaboration with various partners from the private sector forging strong partnerships and information sharing. Many of our overseas projects are funded by the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR).
LdS Silviculture, Federal, NSW 2480 - working together with us on harvesting, milling and timber quality trials; research collaboration between partners seeks to gather data on tree growth, soil conditions, and biodiversity status, specifically on young rainforest (developed on previously cleared pasture); also, the development of land management recommendations that optimise productivity and sustainability of mixed species plantations are sought.

Hurfords Hardwood, Tuncester, NSW 2480 - have supported our research work on utilisation of hardwood thinnings, and provided access to their plantation estate to gather growth data for a variety of species and site qualities.

Golden Grove Naturals, Tucki Tucki NSW 2480 – collaborating with us in a Lismore City Council supported project; FRC to give research/technical support for the establishment of ecological restoration and soil conservation as a part of “Best Practice” in the farming of tea tree on the lower floodplain areas of the Wilsons/ Richmond river.

Super Forest Plantations, Koonorigan NSW 2480 – partners in various research projects, specifically on wood quality and new products; Super Forest Plantations also provide study sites for FRC students, who are visiting plantations three times/year.
