Marine Sciences – Research with the deepest impact

Southern Cross University undertakes significant research in our marine environments through advancing knowledge, changing perceptions and informing strategies.

Our marine research emanates from the School of Environment, Science and Engineering, which includes two world-leading institutions – the National Marine Science Centre (NMSC) at Coffs Harbour and the Marine Ecology Research Centre (MERC) at Lismore.

Health and sustainable marine environments are vital for the future. That future affects us all, which is why our researchers collaborate closely with fellow scientists, local and regional communities, other states and nations and their policy makers.

We hope you enjoy the ‘Marine Sciences – Research with the deepest impact’ booklet, an insight into marine research at Southern Cross University.
