Graduation FAQs
How much does it cost to attend a graduation ceremony?
The total direct cost of attending your graduation ceremony is $124.
This includes a $50 ceremony contribution fee plus $74 for academic dress hire.
I am completing my placement. When can I graduate?
Once you have fully satisfied the requirements of your course, you will be able to register for an upcoming Graduation Ceremony.
When completing placement/practical, the final report must be received and processed by your Faculty/College before you will be eligible to graduate.
It is important to note that the Graduation Office is unable to assist with any queries regarding your placement/practical. Please direct those enquiries directly to your Faculty/College.
Why can't I see a graduation tab in My Enrolment?
Graduation tab will become available after you have fully satisfied the requirements for your course/award (generally this occurs after your final Session/Study Period grades official release date).
If you cannot see a graduation choice but believe you have now completed your award please contact our Student Administration Services Team:
T: 1800 005 687
When do I receive my final academic transcript?
Your complimentary academic transcript and Australian Higher Education Graduate Statement are sent within 20-25 working days of when you complete your award.
Incomplete or Not Available grades will delay your final academic transcript.
Testamurs (degree certificates) can only be released after an award is officially conferred (approved) by the University. All testamurs are held securely by the SCU Graduation Office awaiting instructions from each graduating student.
When will I receive my testamur (degree certificate)?
A testamur (degree certificate) is a legal document and can only be released after an award has been conferred (approved) by the University. Your graduation choice will determine how you receive your testamur. Awards must be conferred before you can attend a ceremony.
To avoid delay please ensure your preferred address and phone number are updated in My Enrolment.
Testamurs will be sent by registered mail for domestic deliveries and by courier for all international addresses.
I have picked "Collect". How do I get my testamur?
The Graduation Office is located at A Block, Lismore Campus (A2.37). You will be able to collect your testamur during business hours, after it is conferred (awarded) by the University.
You will need to provide photo identification before your testamur can be released. Please email studentgradinfo@scu.edu.au or phone 02 6620 3184 to arrange a suitable time to collect
When Will I Receive My Australian Higher Education Graduate Statement (AHEGS)?
An original certified copy of your Australian Higher Education Graduate Statement (AHEGS) will be forwarded with your final academic transcript. Visit www.scu.edu.au/ahegs for further information regarding AHEGS.
Will I receive a digital copy of my Transcript, AHEGS and Testamur (degree certificate)?
My eQuals was developed to give students, graduates, employers and third parties anytime, anywhere access to digitally certified testamurs, transcripts and AHEGS.
A digital copy of your transcript and AHEGS will be uploaded to My eQuals within 20 working days of completion of your award. A digital copy of your testamur will be uploaded to My eQuals within 20 working days after your award has been conferred (approved) by the University.
What if I am on sanctions, will I still graduate?
Sanctions will prevent the release of your final academic transcript, AHEGS and testamur. Please contact Student Administration Services for information about how to pay your sanction by phoning 1800 005 687 or emailing enquiry@scu.edu.au.
