Academic Skills in the Curriculum

One of the best ways to support students' development of academic skills is to have these skills explicitly developed within a unit's curriculum. By having skills embedded into learning activities and materials students can learn and apply skills directly in the context of their study. They can therefore see immediate relevance and application of these skills. This also saves time because students do not have to learn skills in a different context and then re-adjust them to apply to their specific studies.

We are currently working on projects with the School of Health and Human Sciences, School of Education and School of Environment, Science and Engineering. All enquiries regarding embedding academic skills into curriculum are welcome.
