Out of the Forest: a talk by Dr Gregory Smith
The School of Arts and Social Sciences and the Library welcome you to an evening with Dr Gregory Smith.
Gregory will talk about his memoir, Out of the Forest, that traces his life from a cruel childhood, dogged by trauma and an early life of homelessness, addiction and further trauma through to his journey to today.
Emerging from the forest, determined to change his life, Gregory fought hard and successfully completed an Honours degree and a PhD from Southern Cross University.
Currently working at Southern Cross as an academic, Gregory was also the recent subject of a fascinating episode of ABC’s Australian Story.
Copies of Gregory’s book will be available for signing at the event. Afternoon tea and refreshments will be served.
RSVP: firstname.lastname@example.org by Wednesday 12th September.
