The books vary in size, content and technique and form an extraordinary collection of books that is intended to delight and intrigue the viewer.

What is an artists' book?
An artists’ book is a book made by an artist. They vary enormously in size and materials. Artists play with what a book can be. Some of these books are all pictures, some have words, some have poetry and images but all in some way respond to the very nature of what a book can be.
Southern Cross University Library has developed a national reputation as a centre of excellence in artists books through the support of the School of Arts and Social Sciences. The Library holds over 118 artists books in it’s collection.
