Finding journal articles

Journals and newspapers are indexed in databases. The library provides access to more than 60000 print and ejournals. To find out if the library holds a particular journal, search the journal title in the catalogue.

To find a journal article published in one of our ejournals try the article finder.

What is a database?

Databases are searchable indexes that contain citations, abstracts or full text to articles from journals, newspapers, or other information sources.

The Library subscribes to many online databases to support teaching and research by SCU staff and students. See the subject guides for databases relevant to your research area, or search our database list. Most databases provide online help for search tips.
