Arrival, access and Southern Cross University swipe access card information
Contractors
Please make your way to the W Block Property Services Office upon arrival to sign into the Contractor Daily Attendance Register (Please see the Lismore campus map). The Site Supervisors are located in W Block should you need to speak with one of our team.
If you have allowed enough time after the completion of your contractor induction, then, your SCU swipe access card should be generated and can be collected from our Security Office.
Please be aware that on accepting keys or swipe card access, your details will be recorded in the University’s Key Register Access Control System. Your access to buildings will also be recorded in our database. A copy of our Key and Access Control Policy is available upon request. Contact pscontractor@scu.edu.au.
Visitors
Please make your way to the Security Gatehouse on Military Road on when you first arrive at the campus to sign into the Visitor Sign in register. The SCU Staff Supervisor will then go through a Visitor Induction Checklist or will ask to view your certificate of completion from the online Visitor Induction.
Lismore Parking
Parking is free at the Lismore campus. Designated loading zones are available.

Gold Coast Parking
Parking is free at the Gold Coast campus. Designated loading zones are available.

The campus is located at the Solitary Islands Aquarium located at 2 Bay Drive Coffs Harbour NSW 2450 (beside Pacific Bay Resort complex, north of the Big Banana). Please see directions to the campus. Please make your way to the Level 3 reception desk upon arrival to check in with SCU staff and to sign into the online Daily Contractor Attendance Register - Please call ahead to schedule an appropriate time for works - 02 6659 8114. If you have allowed adequate processing time after the completion of your contractor induction, then, your SCU swipe access card should be generated and can be collected from our Security Office.

Parking
There are 18 car parks available adjacent to the campus. There are two entry points to the building – the main entrance and the Aquarium. Trades vehicles can pull in at either of these entrances to unload.
If no car parking spaces are available, visitors to the campus are able to park alongside of the adjacent road.
Contractors
All CHEC contractors must follow CHEC's contractor induction and arrival procedures.

Vehicles on Site
Due to the significant demand for parking at the Coffs Harbour Education Campus, the campus may be unable to satisfy all requests for contractor parking bays, particularly in regard to major building projects. Stores and equipment may need to be unloaded and the vehicle relocated to a parking area.
Designated disabled parking spaces are reserved at all times. Service bays are available for service and delivery vehicles on official campus business only.
All vehicle access to the inner campus, including worksites, must comply with the campus’s vehicle access and parking procedures. Requests for access to the inner campus must be made via the Learning Infrastructure Manager’s representative.
All traffic signage on campus roads must be obeyed at all times.
The speed limit on campus is 10 kilometres per hour, unless otherwise indicated. Particular care is to be taken in respect of pedestrian movements. NSW RMS road rules apply on CHEC campuses. If authorised to drive a vehicle on the inner campus, the maximum speed is walking pace with hazard lights operating at all times.
Contractor vehicles must not obstruct roads, driveways and escape routes from buildings or access to fire protection equipment.
Driving or parking on lawns or gardens is not permitted.
