High-Impact Publication Support Scheme (HIPSS)
Publishing research widely in high-quality journals bolsters our citations and recognition, but also our economic, environmental, cultural and social impact.
With this in mind, in September 2021, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (Research) initiated a 6 month trial of a “High Impact Publication Support Scheme” (HIPSS). The scheme provides financial support of up to $5,000 for ongoing or contract Level A-C academics who have had an article returned by a Q1 (Top 25%) journal as a ‘revise and resubmit’. The intention of the funding is to enable the researcher to complete the work required to then secure publication in that journal within the following three (3) months.
Preference will be given to activities that support the strategic initiatives of the University and the Faculty, and demonstrate value for money.
The trial will run until the end of March 2022.
