Studio One29 is a professional production house and exhibition space located at Southern Cross University's Lismore campus and managed by the School of Arts and Social Sciences. It is the nexus for a range of creative and performing arts capabilities.
Studio One29 production house is the concert and performance space with a sound stage and seminar room for live and recorded audio and video production. This facility is primarily used by the School's contemporary music and media students. It also has the capacity to cater for local community activities, touring artists and commercial broadcasters. Studio One29 exhibition space is a gallery, photographic studio and teaching facility. This space is designed to exhibit works in photography, painting, print, digital art, and three-dimensional works such as ceramics, sculpture and mixed media installations. The facilities include full wall space data projection, wi-fi internet access and a hanging space with both tracking and lighting. The space offers opportunities for students to exhibit their works with the assistance of academic, and technical staff. Examples include exhibitions from different study areas, exchange exhibitions with other universities, dedicated teaching/performance space for demonstrations and installations and graduating students shows. Studio One29 mobile provides mobile production equipment and facilities for students to engage in audio and video projects within the community such as festivals and workshops for professional experience.
