School of Arts and Social Sciences (SASS) Honours Scholarships

The School of Arts and Social Sciences (SASS) offers two Honours Scholarships:

The SASS Honours Scholarship of $5,000 is for an incoming honours student enrolled in a SASS Honours course.

  • Scholarship recipients must be enrolled into an Honours degree within the School of Arts and Social Sciences (full or part time, any study mode or location).
  • Students cannot receive a SASS Honours Scholarship and another SCU scholarship.
  • In their application, applicants must provide a 1- to 2-page (maximum) research proposal outlining:
    • the title of the research project,
    • some brief background to the research,
    • the research focus and objectives, and
    • a brief outline of the research method (that is, how you will do the research).
    • This research proposal can be the same as the proposal developed for your Honours application.
  • Scholarship applications will be evaluated on the:
    • the applicant's Grade Point Average for the relevant coursework bachelor degree, and
    • how clearly and coherently the proposal explains the research background, focus, objectives and method.
