The School of Environment, Science and Engineering hosts RISE, the postgraduate research conference and dinner, annually.
RISE brings together new researchers from disciplines in the School of Environment, Science and Engineering and the University's Special Research Centres Southern Cross Geoscience and Southern Cross Plant Science, to showcase the diversity of research being undertaken by PhD candidates, Masters students and the University's senior academics and researchers.
The conference encourages the relationships between industry, government and the University.

Day 1: Life after PhD – what’s next?
This panel discussion will be moderated by Associate Professor Amanda Reichelt-Brushett, and we will have panel members from academia, government, job recruitment agency and policy.
Day 2: Research Impact – From Academia to Activism, Making Your Research Count.
This interactive workshop will be lead by Dr Douglas Tait and Associate Professor Caroline Sullivan.
