Robotics course - Exploring Robotic Vision
FREE on-line 10 week course
Our dedicated SCU Robotics and Engineering Team are very pleased to announce they have designed a 10 week free on-line “Introduction to Robotics” course that both children and adults can do from home to continue their learning or foster new interest in the amazing world of robotics.

This 10-week online course (SCU Jam Part 2) is designed for people with little or no coding skills or robotic knowledge.
It is a “hands on” course, divided into 10 x weekly modules that you can do from home.
You will require access to a PC, wi-fi network and a TV or monitor with HDMI input.

The course is suitable for both adults and students alike.
By the end of the course, you will have learnt to:
- Use Scratch to control your robot
- Python for robotics
- “Follow me” robot
- Obstacle avoidance
- Line following
- Use the 4 digit display and control the NeoPixel array.
Course participation is FREE. Hardware costs are approximately $300 for the complete kit and approximately $65 for the upgrade kit. Participants own their robot for future projects.
The course will be based on the Pi2Go robot.

The aim of the SCU Robotics Club club is to foster interest and skills in robotics. We are a self-help club, open to all. Members with skills mentor other members. There are no formal teaching programmes as such, merely projects that we work towards as a group. Developing resilience and skills in problem solving along the way.
