Flexible study options
At the School of Law and Justice we are all about study flexibility.
You can study law online, which is an excellent option for anyone who wants to cut out travel time, has family or work commitments or doesn't want to study on campus. Our online option uses leading technologies that are highly interactive and promote collaboration and a sense of community. You can start your online study at the beginning of the year, or at the start of session two (mid-year), depending on the course you wish to enrol in.
Students studying the Bachelor of Laws degree online must attend some compulsory workshops.
Most of our courses are offered at either the Lismore or Gold Coast campuses. As an on-campus student you will experience a variety of different teaching approaches including lectures, tutorials, online activities and video-linked, podcast or virtual classes. The method of teaching may vary from unit to unit.
Our major teaching sessions commence in February and June, but we also offer selected units over the summer in session three and through our Summer Law School.
Our lecturers and SCU student support team are dedicated to helping you succeed in your chosen course and career path.
If you've completed tertiary study elsewhere (TAFE or university) during the past 10 years, you might qualify for advanced standing which could shorten the length of your study at Southern Cross University.
