Opportunities for students
The School of Law and Justice is dedicated to ensuring the highest quality student experience. While studying with us, you will have opportunities to participate in international exchanges, law placements, moot courts and our highly regarded Summer and Winter Law School programs. You can also immerse yourself in student life by joining one of our clubs or societies.
Societies and associations
SCULSS, or the Southern Cross University Student Society, is the historic centre of law student life at SCU, representing all Lismore, Gold Coast and online students; and hosting a number of professional, pedagogic and social events throughout the academic year, including its famous, annual, end-of-year Law Ball.
SCULA is the dynamic Gold Coast-based Southern Cross University Law Association and sponsors a number of professional, pedagogic and social events throughout the year, including its high profile and popular mooting program.
Law Club is a lively Lismore-based, Southern Cross University student organisation for law and law-interested students, and runs a number of professional, pedagogic and social events throughout the year intended to build peer-to-peer relationships and provide networking opportunities.
Students can take law placement electives if they are studying the Bachelor of Laws, Bachelor of Legal and Justice Studies or the Associate Degree in Law (Paralegal Studies).
The School of Law and Justice offers a number of workshops to provide students who are studying online the opportunity to attend on-campus classes.
