Dr Rosemary Craig

I studied pharmacy, medicine and surgery at the University of Sydney during which time I worked as a freelance scientific illustrator and a medic at the Sydney University Regiment. I came to the Northern Rivers in 1994 where I worked at Lismore Base Hospital as a resident medical officer and it was easy to decide to stay.

I trained as a General Practitioner locally, working at Lismore and Alstonville in various locations, including at SCU, until I had the FRACGP. In 2001 I set up a solo fully accredited general practice in Coraki, also working as a visiting medical officer at the Campbell Hospital. In this context I have attained experience in a wide range of clinical situations effecting a wide range of age groups and in various cultural contexts. I respect the various alternate medicines and therapeutics and seek to find simple and sustainable solutions to disease with minimal toxicity.

Recently I have been working on research which explores a therapeutic application of biological physics and glycoscience. This has the capacity to accelerate the repair of body tissues and moderate how regeneration occurs by engineering the formation of the nano scale molecules in the living body. It may seem like rocket science but is really just another tool to help people to keep getting better.

I have a potentially pathological interest in dressage, breeding and riding Spanish horses. I have always had an inherent compulsion to draw, often horses. I try to go skiing as often as I can and strive for balance in lots of ways.
