Dr Vrisha Ker
I graduated from the University of Cape Town, South Africa in 2007. After post-graduate hospital and general practice training, I then spent some time working in emergency medicine, primary health care and then as senior medical officer in neonatology before settling into general practice where I discovered my place in Family Medicine.
My curiosity of living and working abroad took me to Canada, where I furthered my education by completing my specialist training in Family Medicine (CCFP). I thoroughly enjoyed my time in rural Canada as a General Practitioner where I had the privilege of working in a small but busy hospital and community medical Centre in the heart of snowy Saskatchewan.
I am fascinated by the breakthrough research and science in the field of the human microbiome and digestive health and am passionate about addressing the root causes of ill health, prevention of chronic disease and strive to restore wellness.
I am a member of the RACGP and ACNEM with whom I am expanding my education in Nutritional and Environmental Medicine.
Spending time in nature, travel and experimenting with nourishing foods are some of the ways I enjoy spending my free time.
