Managing unsatisfactory performance

1. Normally, the provisions governing the processes involved in managing unsatisfactory performance or terminating employment on the grounds of unsatisfactory performance are contained in the industrial instrument under which staff are employed.

2. Where employment is governed by the University's Enterprise Agreement, the process to be followed is documented in clauses 262 - 283 of the EA.

3. Where employment is not governed by the Enterprise Agreement, the procedures under the relevant agreement or individual contract will apply.
