Special Studies Program

Special Studies Program provides eligible academic staff with release from normal duties and access to financial assistance in order to enhance their research productivity, teaching practice, professional practice, artistic development and/or qualifications.

The Special Studies Program Committee will meet to consider applications on Tuesday, 4 September 2018.

Special Studies Program applications in 2018 are for programs to be undertaken in 2019. Programs would normally include time spent at locations outside of the University and normally for a minimum period of six weeks.

Key documentation

As part of the Special Studies Program process, reports are received from the Research Office on research outputs and provided to the Committee. Applicants are encouraged to contact the Research Office to review their research outputs and provide updates as needed as early as possible in the process.
