Online training programs

To accommodate diverse learning styles and flexible learning, the following online programs are available.

If you would like to complete any of the online programs speak to your manager and then contact your Business Partner as you must be registered through HR Services to enable the training to be recorded in MyHR.

Program Outline
Cultural Competency Develop cultural competence, genuine respect and capacity to work effectively across cultural diversity including Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and their communities.

Responding to Disclosures of Sexual Violence A compulsory online training program for all employees and particularly important for staff dealing directly with students. This program aims to  inform and raise awareness amongst employees as well as obtain a genuine commitment to effectively respond to cases of sexual harassment and assault.

This one hour training program can be accessed at any time through the Professional Learning Centre link in MySCU.

Staff Selection and Interview Skills
A compulsory online training program for all employees required to participate on staff selection panels. This online program is a compulsory program for all supervisors and staff required to sit on staff selection panels.

This one hour training program can be accessed at any time through the Professional Learning Centre link in MySCU.

Staff also have the additional option of attending a half day face to face workshop as part of this program. If you are interested in attending the workshop please register through MyHR.

Software Training Learn, understand and practice your skills in the Microsoft Office suite including Word, Excel,PowerPoint, Access and much more.

The Digital Matrix
Learn and engage with digital technologies.

The Digital Matrix is a digital literacies program available for all staff to participate in at their own pace. The program contains 23 topics including fake news, professional social networks, video and audio production, open education resources (OER’s), altmetrics, virtual reality and gamification. Two posts will be released each week commencing on Monday, 29th October.
