Disability Awareness
Online learning available year round 1 hour Online All staff

The promotion of disability awareness in our workplaces and communities is vital in establishing a society where people with disability are valued and included. For much of history, people with disability have experienced discrimination and stigma, often primarily associated with society’s misconceptions about their ability. This course raises your awareness of disability.

Privacy Awareness

Understand the University’s obligations under Privacy Laws, what information is covered by these laws and how does it apply to you and your position at SCU.  The online component, Privacy Awareness Training, located in the Professional Learning Centre, must be completed prior to participating in the virtual scenario session.

This program allows you to understand more about how the University ensures a safe workplace for all and your role in upholding our policies and treating your colleagues with respect. This includes information about bullying and harassment, resolution options, early notification, and sources of help.

Virtual Compulsory for all new Supervisors

This workshop is an introduction to staff supervision at SCU and covers your new role and responsibilities as a supervisor and how best to transition to the role.
